(PHOENIX, AZ) - DCM Loudspeakers has long been recognized as a
leading manufacturer of stand-alone home theater products,
delivering music lovers premium acoustical performance without
draining their wallets. That tradition of value-added, high-
performance hi-fi product continues at CEDIA 2002 as DCM unveils a
four-model line of custom-installation speakers.
The four new models include two fully enclosed versions, a dual
voice coil version and a weather resistant marine version.
The enclosed models include in-wall and in-ceiling models. The
TD625WE (in-wall) and TD625CE (in-ceiling) feature a 6 ½" poly
woofer with rubber surround, 1" neo dome tweeter, gold-plated
compression speaker terminals, aluminum grille and stainless steel
hardware. The high-temperature ABS enclosure addresses vapor barrier
penetration issues by totally enveloping the speaker and separating
its components from the wall cavity. The TD625WE also features a
pivoting tweeter placement for directional adjustment and integrated
bubble levels for easier installation.
The C622 dual channel in-ceiling speaker utilizes a dual voice coil
6 ½" Poly woofer with rubber surround, dual ½" balanced dome
tweeters, spring terminals for speaker connection, aluminum grille
and stainless steel hardware. The speaker is ideal for compact
space applications where stereo information must be reproduced
through a single speaker.
Finally, the C612WRM weather resistant marine speaker. This circular
inwall/in-ceiling speaker features a white poly-cone with rubber
surround, ½' balanced dome tweeter, ABS housing, plastic dipped
tinsel leads and gold-plated compression speaker terminals. It's an
excellent choice for areas that may be subject to more direct
weather conditions or even in boating applications.
Said Director of Dealer Relations Al Congdon, "DCM has been in
business since 1974. Never, in almost 30 years, has DCM asked music
lovers to choose between great sound and great value. These speakers
carry on that legacy and simultaneously carry the brand into a
highly competitive position in the custom installation market."
